At Stanford, Mandy became the graphic designer for several student theater companies as well as the Stanford Drama department. For Stanford Drama, she had a great time designing a variety of projects, from the most artistic — show posters — to the most practical — department maps and signage. In 2006 she became the main graphic designer for the Un-Scripted Theater Company. She currently does graphic design and logo design for freelance clients.
She is also interested in creating more tangible artworks, out of paint and paper and fabric. She paints, builds, and sews—for the stage as well as just for fun. (Maker Faire, at which she presented her puppets the first year, is pretty much her favorite thing in the whole world.) She also has a lot of other backstage experience, designing costumes, makeup, lights, sound, etc.
