Puppet Building
Mandy really likes making stuff. She minored in theatrical design, and worked in the scene shop at Stanford (as a student and then a recent graduate) under the excellent direction of Paul Strayer. She worked in the scene shop and also as a technical supervisor.
After leaving Stanford, Mandy became the Master Electrician for the SF Playhouse in 2007, performing and supervising lighting hangs and strikes for 40 mainstage shows in seven years, recently making the transition with the company from their 99-seat theater to their new 250-seat house at the old Post Street Theater.
Mandy also designs and teaches lighting for improvised shows, with companies such as Pacific Playback theater, the Stanford Improvisors, BATS Improv, the Un-Scripted Theater Company, Curious Comedy, and the Funhouse Lounge.
